The Brockton Public Library is pleased to welcome Willow Street Strings and Friends for a free concert featuring performances of modern classical music compositions of Gerard H. Heroux and Andrew Safioleas. The program will include selections from an opera composed by Mr. Heroux titled, “Young Roger’s Day at The Fair”, about Roger Williams, founder of Providence, Rhode Island. Mr. Safioleas has composed lyrical, show, and dance pieces for solo instruments and ensembles. They will perform his piece, “Harborside Melody”. Finally, they will perform brief selections from the opera, “Carmen”, by Georges Bizet as well as arrangements of seasonal Holiday favorites.
